Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Ieltxu Orbaneja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Imperio Catatumbo de Lara from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Ieltxu Orbaneja got control of the ball when Sotiris Bagasakos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nieciece's Mateusz Hajto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esquipula Argomedo in the 40th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Angelino Lore ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateusz Hajto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvin Brenner to strike the kick off in the second half. Esquipula Argomedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Esquipula Argomedo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mateusz Hajto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ieltxu Orbaneja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sotiris Bagasakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 88th match minute, Nieciece was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Salvadore to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Angelino Lore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateusz Hajto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Imperio Catatumbo de Lara supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Imperio Catatumbo de Lara would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
