In the 5th minute, Juan-Carlos Alamon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Sidoro came free, but Zuriko Lagala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Erubiel Egun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zuriko Lagala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erubiel Egun in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zuriko Lagala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Zuriko Lagala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Egun in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Egun came free, but Zuriko Lagala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zuriko Lagala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Egun in the 29th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blanco Lambarida got free with Farid Mondragón in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, MILAN COLOMBIANO's Claudi Echeverri got a free kick in the 31st minute. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by MILAN COLOMBIANO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Xusto Vada was slow to take the kick. During this time Inter de Guayaquil FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Inter de Guayaquil FC's Blanco Lambarida getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ben Chepchumba took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zuriko Lagala. Zuriko Lagala dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erubiel Egun was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Ben Chepchumba kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zuriko Lagala. That made the score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. After 57 played minutes Inter de Guayaquil FC got a freekick which was hit by Xusto Vada. Farid Mondragón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blanco Lambarida, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blanco Lambarida in the 59th minute of play forced MILAN COLOMBIANO's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Marcelo Costas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Xurde Argoños quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 65th minute Erubiel Egun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zuriko Lagala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MILAN COLOMBIANO's Abel Mirande was substituted for Ben Chepchumba. Zuriko Lagala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Mirande, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 87 minutes, Xusto Vada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter de Guayaquil FC and the MILAN COLOMBIANO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xusto Vada kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Erubiel Egun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Zuriko Lagala made a huge save. 91 minutes into the match, MILAN COLOMBIANO's goal looked a bit too open when Blanco Lambarida came free, but Farid Mondragón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zuriko Lagala was a little too slow when Abel Mirande got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 1-3.
