He walked away shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zac Bal in the 7th minute of play forced STAL ST WOLA's goalkeeper Moisés Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Frank Terwenhout got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brugge United's goalkeeper Aldo Candal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Mao Hong Yang came free, but Aldo Candal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Raoul Lambert could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Moisés Novaes however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roth Prot during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, Roth Prot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half STAL ST WOLA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pacho Carabajal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damian Hodas hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute of the match Mark Wauters sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Moisés Novaes skillfully saved the ball. Roth Prot hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Pacho Carabajal might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moisés Novaes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pacho Carabajal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 66th minute of the match Brugge United got a corner. STAL ST WOLA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mark Wauters ran over to the corner to take the kick. Brugge United's Mark Wauters was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Moisés Novaes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 67th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georges-Philippe Engels to maneuver through the defense. If Frank Terwenhout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boleslaw Nakoneczny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Aldo Candal made a huge save. Moisés Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raoul Lambert in the 76th minute of the match. Brugge United's Aldo Candal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Brugge United from getting a goal against them.
