The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petrică Dragu in the 11th minute of play. Felix Txilar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horea Afloroaiei having to make a save. 15 minutes into the match, Vlashers's goal looked a bit too open when Vitaliy Fedchenko came free, but Horea Afloroaiei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serbülent Baysan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moise Jienescu in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Marius Levința shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serbülent Baysan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitaliy Fedchenko in the 29th minute of play forced Vlashers's goalkeeper Horea Afloroaiei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandrino Gameiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Vlashers booed when FC Anderlecht Huachipato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Txilar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Felix Txilar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the game, Petrică Dragu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vlashers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Anderlecht Huachipato the free kick. Petrică Dragu hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Horea Afloroaiei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitaliy Fedchenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 minutes Vlashers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stojan Krhan who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on FC Anderlecht Huachipato's corner Stojan Krhan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Horea Afloroaiei quite easily take care of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Horea Afloroaiei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitaliy Fedchenko in the 52nd minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan got control of the ball when Petrică Dragu tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to FC Anderlecht Huachipato getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Alarico San Martín hit a great ball. The supporters of FC Anderlecht Huachipato booed when Vlashers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Levința didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Marius Levința notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan. Serbülent Baysan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Victorio Monte was substituted for Baumar Ontanilla. 75 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goalkeeper Serbülent Baysan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduard Dumitrana. Horea Afloroaiei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitaliy Fedchenko in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Marius Levința dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Serbülent Baysan, 0-2. Vlashers played a much better game than FC Anderlecht Huachipato and deserved their victory. The FC Anderlecht Huachipato players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
