The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Filip Koperski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Fabien Barthez made a huge save. Fabien Barthez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcin Nigbor, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The supporters of FC Latające Siekiery booed when ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Ballack didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Zula Furlit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Dimitri Payet managed to get in a good position for a shot. ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimitri Payet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miromir Skwira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Latające Siekiery's Marcin Nigbor got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcin Nigbor in the 17th minute of play forced ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's goalkeeper Fabien Barthez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dimitri Payet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Filip Koperski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute of the match Betinho Barral shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miromir Skwira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 26 played minutes FC Latające Siekiery got a freekick which was hit by Radomil Konopka. Fabien Barthez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofil Sawicki in the 35th minute of play. Dimitri Payet scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miromir Skwira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabien Barthez didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 41st minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Marcin Nigbor made the kick off in the second half. Fabien Barthez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Napoleon Malewicki in the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Filip Koperski made a precise shot to the right of Fabien Barthez. ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 57 minutes into the game, Waldemar Andrzejewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Latające Siekiery's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ the free kick. In the 57th match minute, FC Latające Siekiery was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Andrzejewski to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's goal looked a bit too open when Marcin Nigbor came free, but Fabien Barthez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabien Barthez came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Latające Siekiery's Filip Koperski. But to his dismay, Filip Koperski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's Fabien Barthez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zula Furlit in the 69th minute of play. In the 77th minute Marcin Nigbor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's Fabien Barthez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Koperski in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Teofil Sawicki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's zone, Napoleon Malewicki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabien Barthez came out of the goal and Napoleon Malewicki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
