After some careless play in the Linköpings AIK defense, Andy Schmid kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonatan Andersson. The Linköpings AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonatan Andersson should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Linköpings AIK's Jonatan Andersson got control of the ball when Andy Schmid tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabian Schär could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Jonatan Andersson made a huge save. Albert Einstein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Andersson having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Schär got free with Jonatan Andersson in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute, Salomone Weber reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonatan Andersson. The goal made the score 3-0. In the 30th minute Salomone Weber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Andersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Sjödin came free, but Nikola Portner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Espen Steelers's Albert Einstein got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute Salomone Weber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Andersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albert Einstein scored 4-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonatan Andersson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Jonatan Andersson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Jonatan Andersson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salomone Weber went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 55th match minute, Espen Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Schär to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Fabian Schär notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Linköpings AIK's Jonatan Andersson. Jonatan Andersson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 60 minutes, Albert Einstein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espen Steelers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albert Einstein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Espen Steelers's Andres Ambühl was substituted for Fabian Schär. Petter Billberg's late challenge caught a Espen Steelers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petter Billberg helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Espen Steelers booed when Linköpings AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petter Billberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Ambühl came free, but Jonatan Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikola Portner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petter Billberg in the 81st minute. Jonatan Andersson came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Espen Steelers's Salomone Weber. But to his dismay, Salomone Weber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. After 90 minutes, Bengt-Åke Thidén mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Linköpings AIK and the Espen Steelers players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Espen Steelers booed when Linköpings AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the referee ended the match the Espen Steelers players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
