Damiano Battisti was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Cirelli during the 13th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Herensuge couldn't finish the play. Marco Herensuge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damiano Battisti having to make a save. 22 minutes into the match, Eurospeed Asti's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Herensuge came free, but Damiano Battisti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clodoveo Ursino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Pinti in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Marco Herensuge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Battisti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Eurospeed Asti defense, Marco Herensuge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damiano Battisti. The Eurospeed Asti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damiano Battisti should have stopped the shot. Damiano Battisti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Danel, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the game, ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's Marco Herensuge nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
