Ronaldo Queraria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Stephen having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Queraria recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabricio Stephen. Ronaldo Queraria showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tanush Çarçani got free with Fabricio Stephen in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Mateus in the 22nd minute of play forced Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Richard Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Queraria came free, but Fabricio Stephen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
