In the 29th minute Adalbert Oblakov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danone CC's Otávio Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joop van der Schaaf in the 31st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Júnior Veloso put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Pieter Beuk. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Pieter Beuk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Veloso in the 43rd minute of play. Danone CC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Adalbert Oblakov scored to the left of an out of position Otávio Massa, making the score, 3-2. After some careless play in the Julias Rascals Apeldoorn defense, Fausto Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pieter Beuk. The Julias Rascals Apeldoorn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pieter Beuk should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Szczepan Mosiniak hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Fausto Senna scored 3-4 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pieter Beuk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Szczepan Mosiniak was slow to take the kick. During this time Danone CC's players had a chance to rest. Szczepan Mosiniak made a great header on Danone CC's corner, it was just that Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Pieter Beuk managed to reach the ball for a save. Pieter Beuk yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-6. 75 minutes into the match, Fausto Senna dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pieter Beuk, 3-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Szczepan Mosiniak in the 82nd minute of play forced Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Pieter Beuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Senna succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-8 in the 83rd playminute.
