The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Giovanni de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Šarūnas Žvigaitis, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Algitas Girkantas could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Giovanni de Toledo however easily saved by the left post. Ernesto Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vaclovas Jurkus having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Absoliut's Algitas Girkantas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giovanni de Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 35th minute of the match, Šarūnas Žvigaitis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Giovanni de Toledo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Minotauro's Giovanni de Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Minotauro from getting a goal against them. 47 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Algitas Girkantas came free, but Giovanni de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovanni de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Algitas Girkantas in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Minotauro were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Minotauro's Paulinho Santos was substituted for Romeu Sousa. Minotauro's Zé Paulo Mendonça was substituted for Severino Guerra. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Damião made a kick off. Ovidijus Andrišiūnas took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giovanni de Toledo. Ovidijus Andrišiūnas was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The corner led Absoliut's Albinas Spudys to a score. 4-2 in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Algitas Girkantas came free, but Giovanni de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Ovidijus Andrišiūnas made a precise shot to the right of Giovanni de Toledo. Minotauro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. After 90 minutes of play, Absoliut's Valdas Ivanauskas made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giovanni de Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95thth minute of the game Algitas Girkantas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Minotauro's Giovanni de Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
