After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Borut Cafuta managed to get in a good position for a shot. NŠ MURA's supporters rose to their feet, but Borut Cafuta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Rolandsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Karl-Johan Dahlberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Nueva was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl-Johan Dahlberg in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Nueva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Karl-Johan Dahlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dani Lahajner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Rolandsson having to interfere. Ivan Rolandsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dani Lahajner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th match minute, NŠ MURA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borut Cafuta to maneuver through the defense. NŠ MURA's Juan Nueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Johan Dahlberg in the 44th minute of play. Dani Lahajner received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ivan Rolandsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Dani Lahajner slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

From a short distance, FC Blueskatterna's Greger Rudkvist, in the 64th minute, tried to place the ball behind Juan Nueva, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. In the 68th minute Borut Cafuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Rolandsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Nueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greger Rudkvist in the 74th minute of play. NŠ MURA were furious when Atilano Marcones was red carded, 83 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of NŠ MURA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Blueskatterna:s goal. In the 86th minute FC Blueskatterna were awarded a corner. Greger Rudkvist went to the cornerflag to take it. FC Blueskatterna's Karl-Johan Dahlberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Juan Nueva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Karl-Johan Dahlberg came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the FC Blueskatterna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Johan Dahlberg couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, NŠ MURA's goalkeeper Juan Nueva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Johan Dahlberg.
