After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Arman Björklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mellbystrand IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Arman Björklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keylor Navas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Higinio Reynardo during the 27th minute. Joseph Söderberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romeo Hulberto went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Arman Björklund was extremely unlucky when he, in the 42nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Mellbystrand IK booed when NECKER49 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Asur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Mellbystrand IK's Evert Wahlnäs managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fausto Asur in the 51 minute of the game. Remigio Astudillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Joseph Söderberg made a huge save. 55 minutes into the match, Arman Björklund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Keylor Navas. NECKER49's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arman Björklund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 64th minute Lucas Baladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Söderberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chadli Said in the 69th minute of play forced NECKER49's goalkeeper Keylor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. NECKER49 made a substitution. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Asur couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Mellbystrand IK's zone, Remigio Astudillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joseph Söderberg came out of the goal and Remigio Astudillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keylor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arman Björklund in the 93rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, NECKER49's Joseph Söderberg threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bongky Dermawan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When NECKER49's Bongky Dermawan in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. NECKER49 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
