With an all-out effort, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Arrigo Talone threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ricardo-Enrique Bochini, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Arrigo Talone successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 8th minute, Teodor Lucaci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armin Oberrauch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiberiu Mischie having to make a save. In the 13th minute of the match, Ricardo-Enrique Bochini tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arrigo Talone saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Emanuel Strugure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39th minute, Pompiliu Cobzeanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arrigo Talone was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Alberto Cavanna charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Cavanna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, LEBEG Team's Alberto Cavanna got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Arrigo Talone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pompiliu Cobzeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute, Alex Paveliuc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armin Oberrauch was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Pompiliu Cobzeanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arrigo Talone was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Arrigo Talone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo-Enrique Bochini in the 60th minute of play. Pompiliu Cobzeanu scored 4-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arrigo Talone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 64 played minutes FC Politehnica Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Alex Paveliuc. In the 65th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Alberigo Lattanzio hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. In the 70th minute Robert Koren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Talone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiberiu Mischie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Cavanna in the 74th minute of the match. Tiberiu Mischie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armin Oberrauch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Teodor Lucaci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Talone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bianco Casciano kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 82ndth minute of the game Junior Stover who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LEBEG Team's Arrigo Talone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Ricardo-Enrique Bochini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arrigo Talone. LEBEG Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo-Enrique Bochini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Arrigo Talone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Junior Stover, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Antonio Di Giacomo came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the LEBEG Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Di Giacomo couldn't finish the play. FC Politehnica Timisoara walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
