CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Håkan Granqvist scored to the left of an out of position Doriva Simões, making the score, 1-0. With a little luck, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Doriva Simões got control of the ball when Stig-Arne Ödman tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 18 minutes, Thomas Örtlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Mayonnaise and the CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Thomas Örtlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agnaldo Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Jönsson having to interfere. Abel Matorin scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdemar Jönsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 26 minutes into the game, Håkan Granqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Doriva Simões was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute, Håkan Granqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Mayonnaise fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Håkan Granqvist got free with Doriva Simões in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Doriva Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig-Arne Ödman in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Håkan Granqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Sundberg came free, but Doriva Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Konrad Bergström hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Valdemar Jönsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Håkan Granqvist was the one to do the kick off. During the 52nd minute of the match Thomas Örtlund completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Thomas Örtlund a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 53 played minutes AC Mayonnaise got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Örtlund. In a very dangerous position, a player in AC Mayonnaise fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Valdemar Jönsson had in the 62ndth minute some difficulties stopping Júnior Tinoco's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Abel Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Matorin couldn't finish the play. Håkan Granqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doriva Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, AC Mayonnaise's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo Sampaio came free, but Valdemar Jönsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th match minute, AC Mayonnaise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Holmberg to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of AC Mayonnaise booed when CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdemar Jönsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauan Garcia in the 84th minute of the match. Kjell-Arne Lindberg's late challenge caught a CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kjell-Arne Lindberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Kjell-Arne Lindberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdemar Jönsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agnaldo Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The supporters of CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ booed when AC Mayonnaise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Granqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Kauan Garcia got a free kick in the 97th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AC Mayonnaise had won after a very even match.
