Wieslaw Maziarski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Domenico Sabatino made a huge save. Wit Kasperowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Chiola in the 25th minute of the match. Domenico Sabatino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikolaj Budzynski, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of KS LEW Chorzów booed when Sorci Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ettore Teti didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Sorci Viola's zone, Wieslaw Maziarski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domenico Sabatino came out of the goal and Wieslaw Maziarski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sorci Viola's Domenico Sabatino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikolaj Budzynski in the 57th minute of play. KS LEW Chorzów's Wit Kasperowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anfilogino Chiola in the 62nd minute of play. In the 81st minute, Zdzislaw Zawadzki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Wieslaw Maziarski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Domenico Sabatino was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After having played for 90 minutes, Mikolaj Budzynski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS LEW Chorzów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikolaj Budzynski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Beppe Zoff recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wit Kasperowicz. Beppe Zoff showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. The KS LEW Chorzów support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
