After having played for 16 minutes, Egil Dahlgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avantgarde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egil Dahlgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Luan Bezerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl-Oskar Göransson was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Karl-Oskar Göransson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Narciso Giraldo's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Borut Špiček in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Cristos saved ALE110 from getting behind. Edvard Lustig hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Bizi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Oskar Göransson having to make a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Borut Špiček to make the kick off. Ray Saturno charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Carl Engström kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Karl-Oskar Göransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luan Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borut Špiček in the 78th minute of play forced ALE110's goalkeeper Denis Cristos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvard Lustig might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Denis Cristos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edvard Lustig ran back to his position shaking his head. ALE110 made a substitution. Gaudencio Lucado replaced Luan Bezerra. ALE110's Domingo Policarpio was substituted for Rodolfo Bizi. Egil Dahlgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Egil Dahlgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Cristos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ALE110's Narciso Giraldo came free and shot a quick shot against goal 91 minutes in the game, fortunately Karl-Oskar Göransson had problems saving as it came toward the left post.
