Durval Lage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Galo do Japi's Roberto Neiva got a free kick in the 8th minute. Timóteo Lage kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, LA COSA NOSTRA's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Cefero came free, but Durval Lage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Catarinense in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Durval Lage saved LA COSA NOSTRA from getting behind. LA COSA NOSTRA's Durval Lage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Catarinense in the 23rd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Roberto Neiva in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by LA COSA NOSTRA's Afonso Toscano. LA COSA NOSTRA's Durval Lage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Cefero in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Galo do Japi booed when LA COSA NOSTRA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Portugal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Wilfredo Cefero made a precise shot to the right of Durval Lage. LA COSA NOSTRA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Durval Lage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Duarte in the 33rd minute of play. Durval Lage came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Galo do Japi's Wilfredo Cefero. But to his dismay, Wilfredo Cefero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Ronaldo Joinvilense came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Galo do Japi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Joinvilense couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Wilfredo Cefero sped through LA COSA NOSTRA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Durval Lage. Durval Lage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Duarte in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Cefero in the 45th minute of play forced LA COSA NOSTRA's goalkeeper Durval Lage to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, LA COSA NOSTRA's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Duarte came free, but Durval Lage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Cefero to make the kick off. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Durval Lage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Cefero in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Falcão Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute 乔义竞 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Joinvilense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Durval Lage. Ronaldo Joinvilense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. 82 minutes into the match, LA COSA NOSTRA's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Joinvilense came free, but Durval Lage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Falcão Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Durval Lage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Durval Lage stood somewhat misplaced when Wilfredo Cefero came free in front of goal and shot 0-7 to the left of him in the 87 minute. Durval Lage made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Joel Catarinense sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Galo do Japi's Falcão Duarte slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Durval Lage. That made the score 0-8 after 94 minutes of play. Galo do Japi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
