The Worst Crew Ever! ！！ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peter Vanneste should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute, Luca Frântu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute, Nicolás Castillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. A nice corner shot did that Amédée Gillis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Peter Vanneste quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 40 minutes of play, Vancouver Reds's Nicolás Castillo made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Vanneste was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47th minute Macnelly Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Vanneste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.
