The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Vladimiro Jerold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Nazario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Ederono Ojero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anacleto Horado. Los Gallos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ederono Ojero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Anacleto Horado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ederono Ojero went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atletico Maturrango's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Boyko Rushkarski was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Gallos's players had a chance to rest. Los Gallos's Boyko Rushkarski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zacarias Nazario in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Los Gallos's attentive Armando Porro managed to snatch the ball when Cristian Oksby made a throw-in in the 18th minute of the game. When Los Gallos's Vladimiro Jerold in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atletico Maturrango's goalie prevented a goal. Anacleto Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roegelio Mariño in the 20th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Efrain Vilardell put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Anacleto Horado. Zacarias Nazario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Jerold in the 29th minute of play. Los Gallos's Anacleto Horado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roegelio Mariño in the 31st minute of play. When Atletico Maturrango's Ederono Ojero in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Gallos's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Los Gallos's Anacleto Horado got control of the ball when Ederono Ojero tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute, Vladimiro Jerold ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zacarias Nazario was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Efrain Vilardell to strike the kick off in the second half. Zacarias Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gipuzkoa Chamochin in the 53rd minute of the match. Zacarias Nazario was a little too slow when Marcos Abellan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 3-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimiro Jerold in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zacarias Nazario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th match minute, Los Gallos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Abellan to maneuver through the defense. Anacleto Horado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Vilardell in the 65th minute of play. After 67 played minutes Los Gallos got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Abellan. In the 71st minute, Armando Porro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anacleto Horado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ederono Ojero in the 74th minute of play. Zacarias Nazario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Jerold, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Efrain Vilardell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Los Gallos's Anacleto Horado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Vilardell in the 83rd minute of play. Atletico Maturrango were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Los Gallos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Traycho Keremidchiev took the corner. Vladimiro Jerold struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Zacarias Nazario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Gallos. In the 90th minute, Los Gallos's Vladimiro Jerold ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zacarias Nazario. Zacarias Nazario yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. Los Gallos's Armando Porro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cristian Oksby in the 92 minute of the game. 94 minutes into the match, Vladimiro Jerold dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zacarias Nazario, 3-5. The Los Gallos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Gallos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
