AFC - Curitiba's Celsinho Vander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save AFC - Curitiba from getting a goal against them. Celsinho Vander came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by FA Sandtown's Roch Lichniak. But to his dismay, Roch Lichniak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 30 minutes of play, AFC - Curitiba's Anderson Velloso made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bogdan Miecznikowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute Luiz Gustavo Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Miecznikowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, AFC - Curitiba's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Huratiak came free, but Celsinho Vander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AFC - Curitiba's Celsinho Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateusz Madej in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Mateusz Madej shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celsinho Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, AFC - Curitiba's Celsinho Vander got control of the ball when Roch Lichniak tried to sneak it across the goal line. The FA Sandtown players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AFC - Curitiba were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Luiz Gustavo Braga made the kick off in the second half. Bogdan Miecznikowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogumil Tscherner in the 55th minute of play forced AFC - Curitiba's goalkeeper Celsinho Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celsinho Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roch Lichniak, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 60th match minute, AFC - Curitiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Torres to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, FA Sandtown's Iwan Marut got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Celsinho Vander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florian Huratiak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FA Sandtown's Bogdan Miecznikowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save FA Sandtown from getting a goal against them. Gilmar Simão struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Bogdan Miecznikowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC - Curitiba. In the 77th minute, Roch Lichniak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FA Sandtown fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Roch Lichniak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho Vander having to interfere. Celsinho Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogumil Tscherner in the 82nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the AFC - Curitiba defense, Roch Lichniak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celsinho Vander. The AFC - Curitiba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celsinho Vander should have stopped the shot. Luiz Gustavo Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FA Sandtown's Zenon Pieknik got a free kick in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, AFC - Curitiba's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Huratiak came free, but Celsinho Vander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AFC - Curitiba's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
