Claes Håkansson made in the 11th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jonathan Tingberg immediately put the ball in play. Hannes Johansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Peres having to interfere. In the 17th minute of the match Barcellos Mineiro FC got a corner. Sävedalen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Giuseppe Camargo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when Sävedalen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Johansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Barcellos Mineiro FC's Chu Liang Ping in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ian Vallengren's late challenge caught a Barcellos Mineiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ian Vallengren helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Caetano Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Caetano Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arne Åkesson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guga Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Åkesson having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roy Danielsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arne Åkesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chu Liang Ping in the 55th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Sävedalen's goalkeeper Arne Åkesson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guga Capixaba. Jonathan Tingberg scored 1-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldir Peres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Barcellos Mineiro FC made a substitution. Galo Mineiro replaced Guga Capixaba. Hannes Johansson hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Chu Liang Ping sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arne Åkesson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 85 minutes of play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Chu Liang Ping made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arne Åkesson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute Roy Danielsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
