The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Jairo Theodore ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thibaut Courtois was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. AC LeX Luthor's Thibaut Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Theodore in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute Jairo Theodore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thibaut Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes of play, El retorno del Pincha's Jairo Theodore made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thibaut Courtois was left in no man's land by his defense there! El retorno del Pincha's Roy Peto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save El retorno del Pincha from getting a goal against them. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Poncio in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, AC LeX Luthor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Elivareo to maneuver through the defense. Thibaut Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Theodore, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Roy Peto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Theodore in the 36th minute of play. Guido Oriol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Roy Peto made a huge save. After 38 played minutes AC LeX Luthor got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Inge. Enrique Txartiko kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Gaudencio Clis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of AC LeX Luthor booed when El retorno del Pincha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Gora didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half El retorno del Pincha were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jairo Theodore to strike the kick off in the second half. Roy Peto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Oriol in the 53rd minute of the match. Thibaut Courtois made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Luis Silviano sent off a good shot on target. Lyazzide Lyachenkov was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 58 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, one of AC LeX Luthor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AC LeX Luthor. 63 minutes into the game, Apolo Raulo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Thibaut Courtois was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Florentino Beliran kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Luis Silviano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thibaut Courtois, 0-4. In the 77th minute Jairo Theodore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thibaut Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Poncio in the 85th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thibaut Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Silviano in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Zacarias Abecia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC LeX Luthor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Thibaut Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Poncio, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Roy Peto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Abecia in the 93rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, El retorno del Pincha's Luis Silviano got a free kick in the 97th minute.
