The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wang Bang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomé Montenegro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wang Bang in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomé Montenegro saved Ferreira Lopes MZC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wang Bang in the 9th minute of play forced Ferreira Lopes MZC's goalkeeper Tomé Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67Olympique Meydanbaşı FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Osman Helvacıoğlu in the 14th minute. The corner ended in Mané Tasso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tomé Montenegro did a great save. Tomé Montenegro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wang Bang in the 16th minute. Ronaldo Alcântara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luis Chilavert having to make a save. Luis Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 22 minutes of play, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luis Chilavert was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cláudio das Neves's late challenge caught a 67Olympique Meydanbaşı FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cláudio das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Cláudio das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the game, Basílio Eger threw the ball into play from the sideline. 67Olympique Meydanbaşı FC's Renato Vince quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 33rd minute Ronaldo Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomé Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Wang Bang sent off a good shot on target. Renato Vince kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Dário Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Dário Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Ferreira Lopes MZC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A sloppy throw-in by Renato Vince in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ferreira Lopes MZC's Anísio Lucas. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tomé Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wang Bang in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Wang Bang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 67Olympique Meydanbaşı FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Luis Chilavert made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Dário Martins sent off a good shot on target. Tomé Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wang Bang in the 59th minute of the match. Luis Chilavert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dário Martins went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Basílio Eger got a throw-in 64 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Herald Depauw. 66 minutes into the match, Ferreira Lopes MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Wang Bang came free, but Tomé Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Wang Bang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomé Montenegro was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. 78 minutes into the match, 67Olympique Meydanbaşı FC's Wang Bang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomé Montenegro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomé Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wang Bang in the 79th minute of the match. Tomé Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wang Bang in the 85th minute of play. Mané Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mané Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the 67Olympique Meydanbaşı FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Tasso couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ferreira Lopes MZC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
