Osvaldo Vilaverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Bambas in the 15th minute of play. VB-Team's Osvaldo Vilaverde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwann Patrice in the 25th minute of play. Erwann Patrice hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Caeiro in the 27th minute of play forced Cosa nostra Lyon's goalkeeper Ahmid Lamouroux to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 minutes of play, VB-Team's Luís Caeiro made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahmid Lamouroux was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Luís Caeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogdan Bambas got free with Osvaldo Vilaverde in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute Jaime Corte-Real shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmid Lamouroux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, VB-Team's Osvaldo Vilaverde got control of the ball when Bogdan Bambas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 36 played minutes VB-Team got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Monteiro. Osvaldo Vilaverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Bambas in the 43rd minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bogdan Bambas was the one to do the kick off. Ahmid Lamouroux made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Caeiro in the 51st minute. Bogdan Bambas might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osvaldo Vilaverde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After a rather tough play, VB-Team's Diego Calçada got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Davy Patron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. VB-Team's Osvaldo Vilaverde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Rivera in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute Cosa nostra Lyon were awarded a corner. Erwann Patrice went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 79th minute, Diego Calçada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erwann Patrice took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Osvaldo Vilaverde. VB-Team's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The corner led Cosa nostra Lyon's Erwann Patrice to fire away a dangerous shot which Osvaldo Vilaverde despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Rivera in the 86th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Osvaldo Vilaverde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cosa nostra Lyon's zone, Traian Hăvârneanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmid Lamouroux came out of the goal and Traian Hăvârneanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when José Rivera came free, but Osvaldo Vilaverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cosa nostra Lyon fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. VB-Team were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
