Ostap Barylko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Madryt's goalkeeper Ostap Barylko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Kushka came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Real Madryt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Kushka to maneuver through the defense. Ostap Barylko came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Atlanta's Paolo Caradaro. But to his dismay, Paolo Caradaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Carlos Germano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gennadiy Datsenko in the 24th minute of the match. When Anton Kushka came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Real Madryt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Kushka couldn't finish the play. Carlos Germano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Kushka, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Real Madryt's attentive Vitaliy Shulga managed to snatch the ball when Lázaro Cuartio made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. Olexandr Zaynchkovskyi charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olexandr Zaynchkovskyi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute, Olexandr Zaynchkovskyi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gennadiy Datsenko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eustaquio Gerazan made in the 51st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Eustaquio Jaizki. When Benigno Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benigno Abreu couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Real Madryt defense, Eustaquio Jaizki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ostap Barylko. The Real Madryt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ostap Barylko should have stopped the shot. Anton Kushka's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Carlos Germano firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 65th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Gerazan to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Real Madryt's Orest Syvukha got a free kick in the 66th minute. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. After 73 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Gerazan. Vitaliy Shulga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Germano. Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eustaquio Gerazan hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute Paolo Caradaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ostap Barylko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
