Laurențiu Popescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustaquio Jaizki got free with Laurențiu Popescu in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paolo Caradaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustaquio Jaizki got free with Laurențiu Popescu in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 44 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Erroman. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ciro Ferdinand hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Sebastian Ciolofan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alexandria Team08's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Ciolofan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Germano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute, Mădălin Răduț left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alexandria Team08 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The Club Atlético Atlanta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alexandria Team08 were winning 0-4.

After some careless play in the Alexandria Team08 defense, Eustaquio Jaizki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laurențiu Popescu. The Alexandria Team08 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laurențiu Popescu should have stopped the shot. Laurențiu Popescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Abreu in the 60th minute of the match. Club Atlético Atlanta were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Alexandria Team08's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Remigio Erramu took the corner. Laurențiu Popescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Abreu in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Alexandria Team08's Tiberiu Iuga seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tiberiu Iuga the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Alexandria Team08 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tiberiu Iuga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Tiberiu Iuga kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Laurențiu Popescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Ferdinand, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Mădălin Răduț hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 78 minutes, Eduard Luncanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alexandria Team08 and the Club Atlético Atlanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Alexandria Team08 getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Eduard Luncanu hit a great ball. After 82 minutes Club Atlético Atlanta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sebastian Ciolofan who took care of the corner kick. Sebastian Ciolofan made a great header on Alexandria Team08's corner, it was just that Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano managed to reach the ball for a save. Valentin Susara struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Carlos Germano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alexandria Team08.
