Nunez Arias had several of the Attard Gunners's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 6 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Amadeo Rapinett as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 9th minute Thomas Zrinzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Senen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nunez Arias in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amadeo Rapinett, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Franco Curmi fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Attard Gunners's protests and gave Franco Curmi a yellow card for diving instead. Lawrence De Marco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marco Lorien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36thth minute of the game Lawrence De Marco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC FUSION's Benicio Senen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thomas Zrinzo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Benicio Senen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clyde Schembri Zerafa in the 46th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Thomas Zrinzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benicio Senen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After the first half Attard Gunners were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nunez Arias to make the kick off. Amadeo Rapinett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Arias in the 54th minute of the match. Benicio Senen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence De Marco in the 56th minute of the match. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Amadeo Rapinett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thomas Zrinzo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Benicio Senen made a huge save. 70 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Lawrence De Marco came free, but Benicio Senen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of AFC FUSION booed when Attard Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Zrinzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lawrence De Marco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Thomas Zrinzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benicio Senen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After having played for 93 minutes, Julio Olarticoechea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC FUSION's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julio Olarticoechea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Attard Gunners's Robert Gera was substituted for Thomas Zrinzo. Attard Gunners played a much better game than AFC FUSION and deserved their victory. The AFC FUSION players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
