Vambola Probach started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Attard Gunners's Fabio Vassallo got a free kick in the 6th minute. JFSP's Paulinho Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 15 minutes Attard Gunners's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rubinho Zanette who took care of the corner kick. The corner led JFSP's Rubinho Zanette to fire away a dangerous shot which Amadeo Rapinett despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Vambola Probach struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Amadeo Rapinett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JFSP. Kléberson Laguna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lawrence De Marco went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 25 minutes into the match, Clyde Schembri Zerafa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kléberson Laguna. JFSP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clyde Schembri Zerafa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Attard Gunners from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the game, Jeferson Aguiar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JFSP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Attard Gunners the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence De Marco in the 45th minute of play forced JFSP's goalkeeper Kléberson Laguna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Thomas Zrinzo notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of JFSP's Kléberson Laguna. Kléberson Laguna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The JFSP players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Attard Gunners were winning 1-4.

The wind increased when Lawrence De Marco made the kick off in the second half. Kléberson Laguna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sean Bailey in the 52nd minute. The supporters of JFSP booed when Attard Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Demanuele didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Attard Gunners defense, Daniel Dalberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo Rapinett. The Attard Gunners fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Rapinett should have stopped the shot. Mario Pullicino kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Kléberson Laguna made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Sean Bailey sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute Thomas Zrinzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Laguna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Zrinzo took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kléberson Laguna. Kléberson Laguna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. Mario Pullicino hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edinson Gentenaar during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th minute, Edinson Gentenaar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléberson Laguna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Zrinzo in the 90th minute. Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinson Gentenaar in the 92nd minute of play. Joshua Demanuele kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Attard Gunners made a substitution. Robert Gera replaced Thomas Zrinzo. In the 96th minute, Lawrence De Marco made a precise shot to the right of Kléberson Laguna. JFSP's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-7.
