Kåre Stigsson hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Allan Ånger made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Nicolau Soeiro sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Gremio Viana's zone, Osvald Sigman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvino Morais came out of the goal and Osvald Sigman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicolau Soeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Allan Ånger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Gremio Viana were awarded a corner. Salvador Resende went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Gremio Viana's Porfirio Bomba getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Nicolau Soeiro took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Allan Ånger. Allan Ånger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 29th minute of the match Lost Boys Sports Academy got a corner. Gremio Viana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thomas Stigsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Thomas Stigsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gremio Viana's Silvino Morais did a great save. 40 minutes into the game, Luis Alberto Brandao was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gremio Viana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lost Boys Sports Academy the free kick. Luis Alberto Brandao hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Osvald Sigman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvino Morais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Lundin was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's José Ventura got a free kick in the 50th minute. After 53 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by Nicolau Soeiro. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolau Soeiro in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Allan Ånger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Simon Johansson kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Nicolau Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Allan Ånger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolau Soeiro's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Kåre Stigsson made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gremio Viana's Leonardo Valido. Allan Ånger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolau Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Osvald Sigman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Silvino Morais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lost Boys Sports Academy's Osvald Sigman got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lost Boys Sports Academy's goalkeeper Allan Ånger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Ventura got a throw-in 94 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Paulo Lage. Gremio Viana's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
