But to his dismay, Blas Cerilo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 31 minutes into the match, Velezcamp's goalkeeper Virgilio Koldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fulgencio Berto. After a rather tough play, La Candela FC's Jesus Arias got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 41st match minute, La Candela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Sazon to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Abaunza in the 43rd minute of play forced La Candela FC's goalkeeper Benigno Guillem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Velezcamp's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Sazon came free, but Virgilio Koldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Velezcamp's Virgilio Koldo got control of the ball when Fulgencio Berto tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victoriano Sazon to make the kick off.
