Froghino's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Gilbert Manduca put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Elodio Angellotti. Adam Ries's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elodio Angellotti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The supporters of Froghino booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Troncoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Lacunza kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Gilbert Manduca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Froghino's Gilbert Manduca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elodio Angellotti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. In the 93rd minute, Juliano Ibáñez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Adam Ries had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elodio Angellotti. Inter de Chillán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adam Ries was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Froghino fans cheered their team off the field, for while Inter de Chillán had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
