Cain Velasquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristiaan Van de Velde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cain Velasquez ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the de belletrekkers defense, Cain Velasquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kristiaan Van de Velde. The de belletrekkers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kristiaan Van de Velde should have stopped the shot. George Van Impe hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute Cain Velasquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristiaan Van de Velde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was beautiful to see Bennis's Lucas Ekrot in action when he in the 48th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Armentier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cain Velasquez struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Kristiaan Van de Velde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Kristiaan Van de Velde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cain Velasquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Eskil Kvick's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kristiaan Van de Velde firmly grabbed it by the left post. Anacleto Sedeni kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cain Velasquez in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristiaan Van de Velde saved de belletrekkers from getting behind. Charlie Godts hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Sedeni in the 96th minute of play forced de belletrekkers's goalkeeper Kristiaan Van de Velde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bennis's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
