The supporters of Mesere booed when Yala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inko Sagrario kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. German Pezzella hit a great ball. Yassine Bounou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Soare in the 20th minute of play. Yassine Bounou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beila Cacho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Yala's Aldo Asier got a free kick in the 26th minute. Yala's Yassine Bounou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Soare in the 34th minute of play. Charis Manatakis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Niki Bundev showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. Charis Manatakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Montes in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mesere's Normando Portillo got a free kick in the 39th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Mesere's Vasile Soare sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yassine Bounou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yassine Bounou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasile Soare in the 45th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Vasile Soare made the kick off in the second half. Mustafa Emrah Vahip's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yassine Bounou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Mesere's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eate Azcaraso in the 53rd minute. The corner ended in Eate Azcaraso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yala's Yassine Bounou did a great save. 55 minutes into the match, Yala's goalkeeper Yassine Bounou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasile Soare. In the 59th minute, Teo Gau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yassine Bounou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vasile Soare in the 61st minute. German Pezzella kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Mesere's Reiner Braun was substituted for Eate Azcaraso. After 67 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by German Pezzella. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasile Soare got free with Yassine Bounou in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute Niki Bundev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charis Manatakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 minutes, Normando Portillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mesere and the Yala players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Mesere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Normando Portillo to maneuver through the defense.
