Mesere's Charis Manatakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Gaufred in the 4th minute of play. Enrique Lekubegi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Soare in the 9th minute of play. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Vasile Soare sped through Palermo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Enrique Lekubegi. When Eate Azcaraso fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mesere's protests and gave Eate Azcaraso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Eate Azcaraso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charis Manatakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Gaufred, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Normando Portillo in the 22nd minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Enrique Lekubegi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Mesere's corner Fermin Ahedo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Enrique Lekubegi quite easily take care of the ball. Alvaro Ermano kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Mustafa Emrah Vahip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Lekubegi was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mesere's goalkeeper Charis Manatakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Enrique Lekubegi came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Mesere's Normando Portillo. But to his dismay, Normando Portillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Palermo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mesere were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vasile Soare stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Normando Portillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Enrique Lekubegi came out and tried to block the shot, but Normando Portillo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 51st minute. When Vasile Soare fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mesere's protests and gave Vasile Soare a yellow card for diving instead. Enrique Lekubegi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Normando Portillo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. Palermo's Enrique Lekubegi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Soare in the 60th minute of play. Enrique Lekubegi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Emrah Vahip in the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Mesere booed when Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Eutor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charis Manatakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Vachon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th match minute, Mesere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Normando Portillo to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Lekubegi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasile Soare in the 80th minute of the match. Mesere's Charis Manatakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Vachon in the 81st minute of play. If Vasile Soare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes, Anselmo Domingues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palermo and the Mesere players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Domingues. The Palermo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mesere were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
