Yıldırım Yaman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Best Tek came free, but Yıldırım Yaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fenerbahçe's Yıldırım Yaman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Best Tek in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute Best Tek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yıldırım Yaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornel Surdilă took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yıldırım Yaman. Yıldırım Yaman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Fenerbahçe booed when Ninjas in Pyjamas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Surdilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Fenerbahçe getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Erim İpekdal hit a great ball. Yıldırım Yaman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Best Tek in the 32nd minute of the match. Ali Kaan Ulağ kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Yıldırım Yaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Best Tek, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Best Tek came free, but Yıldırım Yaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornel Surdilă kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Yıldırım Yaman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ali Kaan Ulağ's late challenge caught a Ninjas in Pyjamas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ali Kaan Ulağ helped the player get up and apologised. Yıldırım Yaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Best Tek, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Best Tek sped through Fenerbahçe's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yıldırım Yaman.
