The corner led DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Eliseu de Toledo to fire away a dangerous shot which Tomás Bertran despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tomás Bertran was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dito Tasso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu de Toledo in the 10th minute of play forced Devoto club social's goalkeeper Tomás Bertran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to DJVAGALUMY FC. getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ulysses Xavier hit a great ball. After 17 minutes of play, Devoto club social's Lucas Chance made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kléber Abreu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the match, Gaby Batistuta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kléber Abreu. DJVAGALUMY FC.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaby Batistuta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Hernani Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Tomás Bertran made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dito Tasso in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Bertran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Devoto club social's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Bezerra came free, but Tomás Bertran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pedrinho Bezerra in the 35th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Tomás Bertran kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 4-2 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Dito Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of DJVAGALUMY FC. booed when Devoto club social was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosme Enmanuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernani Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Tomás Bertran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Eliseu de Toledo notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Devoto club social's Tomás Bertran. Tomás Bertran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-2.

Tomás Bertran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernani Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Cosme Enmanuel hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 57 played minutes Devoto club social got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Lohitzun. In the 62nd minute, Pedrinho Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, Devoto club social's Fermin Tauro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kléber Abreu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliseu de Toledo scored 7-3 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomás Bertran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute Hernani Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Bertran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Bertran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Fermin Tauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes DJVAGALUMY FC. got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Vieira. Tomás Bertran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Tasso in the 90th minute of the match. Lucas Chance took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kléber Abreu. Kléber Abreu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-4. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The DJVAGALUMY FC. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Devoto club social had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
