Fire Devils's Toto Caputo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Mirande in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Abel Mirande had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Toto Caputo. Fire Devils's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Mirande was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Abel Mirande's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toto Caputo was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Mirande in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toto Caputo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 30 played minutes, Fire Devils's Perez Gier shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Siro Cordarrell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fire Devils reached it. After a rather tough play, Fire Devils's Thaddäus Striner got a free kick in the 30th minute. Abel Mirande struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Toto Caputo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MILAN COLOMBIANO. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Abel Mirande sped through Fire Devils's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Toto Caputo. Denis Lambrozzi hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Milito in the 48th minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Toto Caputo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
