The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivo Amaral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bernt Fredriksson might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivo Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernt Fredriksson ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half The Mongols were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivo Amaral was a little too slow when Doug Las Casas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 0-13. After 84 played minutes The Mongols got a freekick which was hit by Doug Las Casas. After 89 played minutes The Mongols got a freekick which was hit by César Pinheiro. Ivo Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Fredriksson in the 91st minute of the match. Ivo Amaral made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Bernt Fredriksson sent off a good shot on target.
