The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Benedicto Bento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cengiz Bozbey was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. 20 minutes into the match, Gutenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Vedat Arslanoğlu came free, but Sérgio Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Lions Of Turks's Vedat Arslanoğlu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sérgio Romero. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. When Vedat Arslanoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Lions Of Turks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vedat Arslanoğlu couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Lions Of Turks:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gutenberg:s goal. Cengiz Bozbey had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Manuel Nicholas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a long run with the ball, Manuel Nicholas did a trick in the 33rd minute in front of Lions Of Turks's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-1. An impressive performance by Gutenberg's Manuel Nicholas! With 36 minutes on the clock, Joel Oxel commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Sérgio Romero had in the 38thth minute some difficulties stopping Çetin Özdoru's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 38th minute, Çetin Özdoru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lions Of Turks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Benedicto Bento scored 2-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cengiz Bozbey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute Benedicto Bento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cengiz Bozbey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benedicto Bento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Gutenberg's Maximiliano Etxepare got a free kick in the 51st minute. Sérgio Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vedat Arslanoğlu in the 52nd minute of play. Joaquin Gallardo charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquin Gallardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 53 played minutes Gutenberg got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Gallardo. Sérgio Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vedat Arslanoğlu in the 58th minute of play. Lions Of Turks's Cengiz Bozbey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Gallardo in the 59th minute of play. Abel Gines recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Lions Of Turks getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Sadri Fidan hit a great ball. In the 71st match minute, Lions Of Turks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sadri Fidan to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute Vedat Arslanoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Gutenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Vedat Arslanoğlu came free, but Sérgio Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doctor Özcakir charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 83rd minute, Manuel Nicholas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Özgün Kaan during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gutenberg's Sérgio Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vedat Arslanoğlu in the 90th minute of play. Joaquin Gallardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cengiz Bozbey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquin Gallardo ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Lions Of Turks's Cengiz Bozbey got control of the ball when Joaquin Gallardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 93 played minutes Lions Of Turks got a freekick which was hit by Gencay Akbayrak. In the 94th minute, Manuel Nicholas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Gutenberg players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
