The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasco Jackisch got free with Enéas Arruda in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dida Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 played minutes, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Hannes Kapell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Enéas Arruda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. After some careless play in the Tirense F.C. defense, Maurizio Brink kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enéas Arruda. The Tirense F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enéas Arruda should have stopped the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Tirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Enéas Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hektor Krieglmeier. Uwe Ziege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willian Cunha in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Maurizio Brink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Tirense F.C.'s Enéas Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurizio Brink in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Vasco Jackisch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enéas Arruda. Tirense F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vasco Jackisch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Enéas Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasco Jackisch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enéas Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hektor Krieglmeier in the 74th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Hektor Krieglmeier put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Enéas Arruda. After 77 minutes of play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Vasco Jackisch made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enéas Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee ignored Tirense F.C.'s protests and gave Dida Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Tirense F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Dida Vidal. After 85 played minutes Tirense F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Severo. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tirense F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
