The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tonni Dong in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomas Donovan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute Holmkjar Hotspurs were awarded a corner. Tonni Dong went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Tim Sundbæk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Flames FC's Tomas Donovan did a great save. 18 minutes into the game, Tonni Dong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holmkjar Hotspurs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flames FC the free kick. Egil Sølve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Chesnay in the 20th minute of the match. Tomas Donovan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vagner Vennitze's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Holmkjar Hotspurs's zone, Ambrose Keen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egil Sølve came out of the goal and Ambrose Keen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Egil Sølve had great luck who in the 34thth minute grab hold of the ball when Horace Vaughn from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Tonni Dong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tonni Dong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tomas Donovan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Kent Chesnay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Sølve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Egil Sølve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horace Vaughn in the 45th minute of play.

In the 55th minute, Vagner Vennitze made a precise shot to the right of Tomas Donovan. Flames FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Egil Sølve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horace Vaughn, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Holmkjar Hotspurs walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
