An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebiu Ianculescu in the 7th minute of play forced PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Kurniawan Bisri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX SC's Apa Mau got a free kick in the 7th minute. 15 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Kurniawan Bisri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Codrin Olaru. 20 minutes into the game, Eusebiu Ianculescu lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Kurniawan Bisri. In the 24th minute of the match Granicerul got a corner. PHOENIX SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paul Uduleanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Manole Colin fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Granicerul's protests and gave Manole Colin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of PHOENIX SC booed when Granicerul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manole Colin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavian Bebeșel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Osimhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Granicerul's Octavian Bebeșel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Osimhen in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Eusebiu Ianculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octavian Bebeșel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sahala Maranatha, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Octavian Bebeșel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sahala Maranatha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Sobur Al-Habsy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PHOENIX SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Granicerul the free kick. After 42 played minutes PHOENIX SC got a freekick which was hit by Sobur Al-Habsy. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX SC's Apa Mau got a free kick in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Sahala Maranatha made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goal looked a bit too open when Codrin Olaru came free, but Kurniawan Bisri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Granicerul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Uduleanu to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Granicerul's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Tanonaka came free, but Octavian Bebeșel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurniawan Bisri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costel Strungă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 minutes, Costel Strungă made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. PHOENIX SC's Kurniawan Bisri tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute PHOENIX SC were awarded a corner. Apa Mau went to the cornerflag to take it. Apa Mau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Octavian Bebeșel made a huge save. In the 80th minute Apa Mau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Bebeșel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavian Bebeșel made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Victor Osimhen sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Granicerul getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Nicu Olăroiu hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Bento Tanonaka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Bebeșel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicu Olăroiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurniawan Bisri having to interfere. PHOENIX SC's Kurniawan Bisri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remus Pinczewski in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Victor Osimhen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Octavian Bebeșel. Victor Osimhen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. PHOENIX SC's Kurniawan Bisri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebiu Ianculescu in the 95th minute of play. The Granicerul players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
