Olavi Pulver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jari Welling, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Leopold Vabamüürlane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jyrki Rajamäki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes in the game Uno Ruul did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Hendrik Trolla. If Jari Welling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind JK Kurevere's goalkeeper Olavi Pulver, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Volli Laineste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopold Vabamüürlane took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jyrki Rajamäki. Jyrki Rajamäki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Jari Welling struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Olavi Pulver didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palloketut. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jari Welling during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Palloketut got a freekick which was hit by Jari Welling. The supporters of JK Kurevere booed when Palloketut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eevert Hati didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jyrki Rajamäki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hendrik Trolla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jari Welling was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eevert Hati during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 played minutes Palloketut got a freekick which was hit by Eevert Hati. In the 52nd minute of the match Vambola Vahter sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jyrki Rajamäki skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Palloketut's zone, Hendrik Trolla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jyrki Rajamäki came out of the goal and Hendrik Trolla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, JK Kurevere's Olavi Pulver got control of the ball when Jari Welling tried to sneak it across the goal line. Volli Laineste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jyrki Rajamäki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hendrik Trolla in the 64th minute of play forced Palloketut's goalkeeper Jyrki Rajamäki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The JK Kurevere fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when JK Kurevere's Hendrik Trolla looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Olavi Pulver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jari Welling in the 70th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Hendrik Trolla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jyrki Rajamäki was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 74th match minute, Palloketut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eevert Hati to maneuver through the defense. When Hendrik Trolla came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the JK Kurevere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hendrik Trolla couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Hendrik Trolla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jyrki Rajamäki was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. 85 minutes into the match, Palloketut's goal looked a bit too open when Hendrik Trolla came free, but Jyrki Rajamäki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute of the match Fred Randoja sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jyrki Rajamäki skillfully saved the ball. Palloketut's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
