The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Alvarado de Mar del Plata's goalkeeper Segundo Laurendi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Daan Barajas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Segundo Laurendi was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Segundo Laurendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daan Barajas, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Camilo Mondragon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Jenaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Segundo Laurendi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cai Redeño in the 18th minute of the match. Segundo Laurendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan-Carlos Gimilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BARAJAS SOCCER TEAM's Cai Redeño got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute Cai Redeño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Laurendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cai Redeño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Segundo Laurendi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Damian Rito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Camilo Mondragon made a huge save. Damian Rito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Camilo Mondragon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Segundo Laurendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan-Carlos Gimilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Segundo Laurendi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cai Redeño in the 38th minute of the match. Damian Rito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Camilo Mondragon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Daan Barajas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BARAJAS SOCCER TEAM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After the first half BARAJAS SOCCER TEAM were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cesar Jenaro made the kick off in the second half. If Cai Redeño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 52nd minute, Juan-Carlos Gimilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesar Jenaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelino Cresencio kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Segundo Laurendi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Alvarado de Mar del Plata from getting a goal against them. Segundo Laurendi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Redeño in the 64th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daan Barajas got free with Segundo Laurendi in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Segundo Laurendi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cai Redeño in the 71st minute of the match. Camilo Mondragon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Jenaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Alvarado de Mar del Plata were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after BARAJAS SOCCER TEAM's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cesar Jenaro took the corner. Alvarado de Mar del Plata's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Juan-Carlos Gimilio scored to the left of an out of position Segundo Laurendi, making the score, 0-2.
