If Walt Schräder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, forsal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Burkhard Niebler came free, but Alex Franceschi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. forsal FC's Alberigo Cavaliere got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walt Schräder kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Hamburg Fighters's Matthew Jastrzembowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo Cavaliere in the 23rd minute of play. In the 30th minute, Angelo Fiorentino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Franceschi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Burkhard Niebler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When forsal FC's Alberigo Cavaliere in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Burkhard Niebler to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute Clóvis Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Jastrzembowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clóvis Secco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matthew Jastrzembowski having to make a save. 65 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Matthew Jastrzembowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clóvis Secco.
