Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Hamburg Fighters's Burkhard Niebler started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Espen Steelers's Andres Ambühl in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hamburg Fighters's goalie prevented a goal. Matthew Jastrzembowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Ambühl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th match minute, Espen Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Aregger to maneuver through the defense. After 14 played minutes Hamburg Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Karhoff. After 14 played minutes, Espen Steelers's Gaetano Rothstein shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Matthew Jastrzembowski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Hamburg Fighters:s Matthew Jastrzembowski showed great skill when he stopped Fabian Schär:s penalty. 27 minutes into the match, Fabian Schär notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hamburg Fighters's Matthew Jastrzembowski. Matthew Jastrzembowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Burkhard Niebler hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Hamburg Fighters's Matthew Jastrzembowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Ambühl in the 39th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Ambühl came free, but Matthew Jastrzembowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andres Ambühl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Freeman Mächler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Matthew Jastrzembowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaetano Rothstein kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Hamburg Fighters's Wulf-Dieter Schwarze got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Andres Ambühl took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matthew Jastrzembowski. Matthew Jastrzembowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Espen Steelers made a substitution. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Schär in the 74th minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Matthew Jastrzembowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Hamburg Fighters booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berthold Boller didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andres Ambühl struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Matthew Jastrzembowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espen Steelers. Hubert Gartenmann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Matthew Jastrzembowski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Harrison Muntwyler was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Espen Steelers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
