In the 7th minute Gugu Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's goal looked a bit too open when Afonsinho Munhoz came free, but Diego Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Fernando Naike hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Pedro Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Jerrold in the 14th minute of play. João Pedro Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Jerrold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Pedro Rodrigues was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ramiro Blai showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. After 18 played minutes Congo Bongo got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Efraim. João Pedro Rodrigues made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Roberto Telo sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Joinville United - FSCMZ booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Efraim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramiro Blai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but João Pedro Rodrigues made a huge save. After 38 minutes, Victoriano Jerrold made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Joinville United - FSCMZ's João Pedro Rodrigues tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonsinho Munhoz to make the kick off. After 64 played minutes Joinville United - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Luan de Sousa. In the 67th minute, Sílvio Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Roberto Telo fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Congo Bongo's protests and gave Roberto Telo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Roberto Telo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joinville United - FSCMZ's João Pedro Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Blai in the 70th minute of play.
