The referee ignored Internazionale-RS's protests and gave Celsinho Aparecido a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Internazionale-RS getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Celsinho Aparecido hit a great ball. When Internazionale-RS's Jorginho Soares in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's goalie prevented a goal. Claudio Sozzi kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's Leonel Ronaldo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Jorginho Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xuacu Xuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Internazionale-RS were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ronaldinho de Amaral took the corner. When Jorginho Soares came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Internazionale-RS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorginho Soares couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's goalkeeper Xuacu Xuan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ronaldinho de Amaral was slow to take the kick. During this time Internazionale-RS's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Internazionale-RS's Ronaldinho de Amaral to fire away a dangerous shot which Xuacu Xuan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 34th minute Ronaldinho de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xuacu Xuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Sozzi charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Sozzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's Claudio Sozzi got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 40th minute Jorginho Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xuacu Xuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicola Zalewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Godoi having to interfere. Leonel Ronaldo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, David Godoi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Leonel Ronaldo made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Nicola Zalewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Internazionale-RS's David Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Ronaldo in the 53rd minute of play. David Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Ronaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Nicola Zalewski's late challenge caught a Internazionale-RS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicola Zalewski helped the player get up and apologised. David Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicola Zalewski in the 61st minute of play. Xuacu Xuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute of the match Narciso Ceresso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xuacu Xuan skillfully saved the ball. Xuacu Xuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorginho Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute, Nicola Zalewski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After some careless play in the Internazionale-RS defense, Leonel Ronaldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Godoi. The Internazionale-RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Godoi should have stopped the shot. David Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Ronaldo in the 82nd minute of the match. Claudio Sozzi was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Internazionale-RS booed when KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Sozzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute of the match Narciso Ceresso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xuacu Xuan skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorginho Soares in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xuacu Xuan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's goalkeeper Xuacu Xuan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
