Chaponnay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astillero del Guayas the free kick. A collision led to Chaponnay FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Kevan Brossier hit a great ball. With a little luck, Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De got control of the ball when Arthur Rannou tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Brandon Teisseire fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chaponnay FC's protests and gave Brandon Teisseire a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th match minute, Chaponnay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brandon Teisseire to maneuver through the defense. Long Yuan De showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Rannou in the 11th minute of the match. After 13 minutes Astillero del Guayas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bakary Ramsamy who took care of the corner kick. In the 14th minute Rodney Cosca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dilan Bobet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Long Yuan De stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arthur Rannou's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The supporters of Astillero del Guayas booed when Chaponnay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Batiste Goguet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dilan Bobet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zarando Eguizabal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Javier Landeras's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dilan Bobet was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 45th minute Zarando Eguizabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dilan Bobet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brandon Teisseire was the one to do the kick off. Long Yuan De made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brandon Teisseire in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Dani Galiana hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arthur Rannou in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Long Yuan De prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute of the match, Zarando Eguizabal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dilan Bobet was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Chaponnay FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Réda Kraemer hit a great ball. Dilan Bobet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dani Galiana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Long Yuan De showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Rannou in the 67th minute of the match. Brandon Teisseire took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Long Yuan De. Long Yuan De dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Arthur Rannou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Long Yuan De was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Arthur Rannou might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Long Yuan De. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arthur Rannou ran back to his position shaking his head. Chaponnay FC's Charles-Emmanuel Castelli was substituted for Brandon Teisseire. Long Yuan De showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Rannou in the 80th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zarando Eguizabal got free with Dilan Bobet in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arthur Rannou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zarando Eguizabal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Dilan Bobet made a huge save. A collision led to Chaponnay FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Eduart Rrustemi hit a great ball.
