Aguinaga Queipo made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Amadeo Vincent sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 6 minutes into the game, when Luis Rechani put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of C.A. GUAYACO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of San Martin de Tucuman:s goal. Aguinaga Queipo had in the 7thth minute some difficulties stopping Amadeo Vincent's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the C.A. GUAYACO defense, Amadeo Vincent kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aguinaga Queipo. The C.A. GUAYACO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aguinaga Queipo should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the game, Amadeo Vincent recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aguinaga Queipo. Amadeo Vincent showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 25th minute, Luís Ferreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogelio Clodio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 28th minute, Agustin Pillado made a precise shot to the right of Rogelio Clodio. San Martin de Tucuman's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Astor Kepa got free with Aguinaga Queipo in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. San Martin de Tucuman's Rogelio Clodio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Pillado in the 34th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Luís Ferreira notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of San Martin de Tucuman's Rogelio Clodio. Rogelio Clodio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Armando Paniagua hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

C.A. GUAYACO's Aguinaga Queipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Vincent in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, C.A. GUAYACO's Wilmer Villerias got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Amadeo Vincent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aguinaga Queipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aguinaga Queipo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Vincent in the 60th minute of the match. Luís Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Agustin Pillado took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Rogelio Clodio to make any attempt to save it. San Martin de Tucuman's Leo Ramone was substituted for Celedonio Peruxu. After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucuman's Jonathan Victoro got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Luís Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leo Ramone during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th match minute, San Martin de Tucuman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Ramone to maneuver through the defense. Herminio Iyan hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When Yader Aramberri fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. GUAYACO's protests and gave Yader Aramberri a yellow card for diving instead. Rogelio Clodio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Pillado, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. C.A. GUAYACO walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
